National Parks DVDThe latest What’s Next contest starts today. See if you can guess what we have in store for the Wish List issue, and you may be entered to win a prize package from ISLANDS, plus a copy of The National Parks: America’s Best Idea. This 12-hour DVD box set is the latest documentary from PBS and director Ken Burns.

“[The film] traces the birth of the national park concept in the mid-1800s and follows its evolution for nearly 150 years. Using archival photographs, first-person accounts of historical characters and stunning cinematography, the series chronicles the steady addition of new parks through the stories of the people who helped create them and save them from destruction. “

You have until Nov. 6, 2009 to submit your answer for What’s Next. In the meantime, The National Parks: America’s Best Idea airs on PBS until Oct. 7 and is available on DVD and Blu-ray Oct.6 from PBS Home Video and Paramount Home Entertainment.

    This would be the Maldives. I’ve only seen pictures, but it looks close to a paradise.
